This is wonderful - over a hundred years later Carl Sagan would echo the same sentiment in his "Pale Blue Dot" Speech, looking at the photo of earth from Voyager - a picture well worth looking at if you've not seen it.
"every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam."
I always wonder what Albert Pike would say if he was born 150 years later.....and a Freemason of course.
